Over 2,200 people attended a rally organized by Missouri Congressman Todd Akin this morning at the St. Charles Convention Center.
As you can see in the photo on the right, the hotel staff worked to open up a new section to accommodate the overflow of attendees.
Jamie Allman, from 97.1 Talk FM, MCed the event that included a teleconference and Missouri officials: Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, Sen. Rupp, Sen. Schmidt, Sen. Cunningham, and Rep. Cynthia Davis.
Sen. Jane Cunningham specifically mentioned the Health Care Freedom Act, which could potentially stop socialized medicine mandate at the state level. The measure has passed the House in Missouri, but is waiting to be put on the Senate calendar for a floor vote.
Jim Hoft, the Gateway Pundit, also covered this event.
