Federalist 58 by James Madison. 1. Under the proposed Constitution whose interests were represented by the U.S. Senate? Is it so today? If not, how might it be remedied & by what means? 2. How did the Constitution provide for updating representation in Congress? 3. Madison credits the U.S Constitution with assigning the greatest power, that of the “purse strings” to the U.S. House. In your opinion, how might the House assert that power to reduce the size & cost of government today? 4. Explain in your own words Madison’s warning against too many men serving in the House. How might his warning be applied today as calls abound for a more direct democracy & for scrapping the electoral college system? 5. Is democracy the form of government our Founders gave us or was it a republican form? Explain the difference.

Did Obama Administration Falsify Stats to Falsify Cost Projections?

Liberty Alerts,  JBS Freedom Campaign

The Census Bureau reported last week that the number of Americans without health insurance rose to 50.7 million last year. This is rather interesting since the Obama administration has claimed only 35 million as uninsured. Its cost estimates are based on the smaller number. The Congresssional Budget Office has released figures that point to a much larger cost than anyone in the administration wants to admit. Think what the 15+ million extra will do to those estimates! Does anyone honestly believe the rhetoric about ObamaCare saving healthcare dollars?

Something else to think about: 30 states have introduced nullification acts regarding ObamaCare and 6 of them have passed it. However, a closer look reveals that these may not advocate nullifying the entire ObamaCare law, rather just the individual mandate to carry health insurance. Truth be told, merely getting rid of this mandate does nothing to stop the new law. This is a mere minor sliver of the new law, which is designed to control all aspects of our nation’s healthcare system, as well as your lifestyle choices from cradle to grave. When working with your state legislators, press for nullification of the entire law. When working with Congress, push for an entire repeal.
