Liberty Letters with Steve Farrell
Wrote American Founder John Dickinson in 1787, in his Letters From a Farmer in Pennsylvania:
Let us consider ourselves as MEN — FREEMEN — CHRISTIAN FREEMEN — separated from the rest of the world, and firmly bound together by the same rights, interests and dangers. Let these keep our attention inflexibly fixed on the GREAT OBJECTS, which we must CONTINUALLY REGARD, in order to preserve those rights, to promote those interests, and to avert those dangers. … The belief of these truths, I verily think, my countrymen, is indispensably necessary to your happiness. I beseech you, therefore, teach them diligently unto your children, and talk of them when you sit in your houses, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
This is what the Supreme Court forbade in the 1960′s, beginning with its 1962 ruling that forbade prayer in school and a later ruling in that same decade that forbade use of the name of God. Yet is was through men and women who had fervent faith in God and Christ that the American Revolution found its inspiration, and by God’s Providential hand that we were delivered out of the hands of our wicked Mother Country, and all other nations.
And it is unto this sort of faith in God, conviction in Eternal principles of truth, and courageous action to back such faith and conviction that we need to return to if our rights are to remain unalienable in the minds of the people, and if the people will in turn be inspired to fight for them like they were unalienable.
For with all the propaganda launched against the existence of truth, with all the humbug written by revisionist historians (partners with Marx and Lenin, mind you) about the so-called financial interests that motivated the American Founders to break away from England and set up this Republic, with all the moral relativism and amoral Humanism that has filled in the void in America’s classrooms, and congresses, and courtrooms, and television studies with mush, and with false and dark ideas; there is no strength, no foundation, no people with the faith and power to step forward and be the sort of men again, freemen, Christian freemen, who will do their part, sacrificing time, talents, income, pride, and ambition, even their lives if necessary for this great cause, the cause of Liberty. But we need such men.
It is to these roots we must return, our Christian roots, and it is this fraud we must, the non-Christian, anti-Christian fraud that denies the Mighty Hand of God in our Founding. He was there. Our Founders believed it. So do I.
So join us at The Moral Liberal, won’t you, to rediscover these roots and broadcast them from the housetops once again, and take back our schools, our kids, and the rising generation so that those who serve us one day in our local, state, and national governments might actually be rooted in the same faith, principles, and day to day ethic.
If not, only Heaven can help us; but don’t count on it.
