defending the Manifesto of 1890, said, “The Lord will never permit me nor
any other man who stands as president of this church to lead you astray. It is
not in the program. It is not in the mind of God. If I were to attempt that,
the Lord would remove me out of my place, and so He will any other man who
attempts to lead the children of men astray from the oracles of God and from

This promise was inserted into
the Scriptures, after the “Manifesto” at the end of the Doctrine and
Covenants in about 1980 (shortly after the ‘blacks’ were given the priesthood).
 The amazing thing is that it contradicts
virtually everything else the Lord has told us on the subject, yet most of the
LDS people believe it because it is so much easier to just follow a man than to
study to learn and do the mind and will of the Saviour. For example, consider

priesthood remark that they would do anything they were told to do by those who

President Joseph Smith read the 14th chapter
of Ezekiel -  said the Lord had declared by the Prophet, that the people
should  each one stand for himself, and depend on no man or men in 
that state of corruption of the Jewish church – that righteous  persons
could only deliver their own souls -  APPLIED IT TO THE PRESENT STATE OF
THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY  SAINTS – SAID IF THE PEOPLE
DEPARTED FROM THE LORD, THEY MUST  FALL – THAT THEY WERE DEPENDING ON THE
PROPHET, HENCE WERE DARKENED IN THEIR MINDS, in consequence of neglecting
the  duties devolving upon themselves, envious towards the  innocent,
while they afflict the virtuous with their shafts of envy.  1842-43-Teachings
of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Five,  p.237-38.

On Leading people astray
Brigham Young Said: “.and if He (The LORD) should suffer him (Joseph
Smith) to lead the people astray, it would be because they ought to be led
astray. If He should suffer them to be chastised, and some of them destroyed,
it would be because they deserved it..” (Brigham Young, JD 4:297-298)

Why did Joseph also warn
that, “If the people departed from the Lord, they must fall – that they
were depending on the prophet, hence were darkened in their minds.” (DHC
5:19)

Easy to Lead people astray -
Brigham Young “I have often said to the Latter-day Saints– Live so that
you will know whether I teach you the truth or not. Suppose you are careless
and unconcerned, and give way to the spirit of the world, and I am led,
likewise, to preach the things of this world and to accept things that are NOT
of God, how easy it would be for me to lead you astray! But I say to you, live
so that you will know for yourselves whether I tell the truth or not. That is
the way we want all Saints to live.” (Brigham Young, JD 18:248)

“…I told the people that if
they would not believe the revelations that God had given, He would suffer the
devil to give revelations that they — priest and people — would follow after.
Have I seen this fulfilled? I have I told the people that as true as God lived,
if they would not have truth, they would have error sent unto them and they would
believe it.” — Brigham Young (Deseret News, June 8, 1873)

Brigham said, “And when the
spirit of persecution, the spirit of hatred, of wrath, and malice ceases in the
world against this people, it will be the time that this people have
apostatized and joined hands with the wicked…” (Brigham Young, Journal
of Discourses 4:326-327.)  

But the current leader says,
” I am pleased to report that the Church is better known and better
understood. Generally the media have been kind to us. They have dealt honestly
with us. There are exceptions, of course, and this we regret. The old images of
the past continue to be dragged forth by those who deal in sensationalism and
exploitation.” – Gordon B. Hinckley (reported in May 1999 Ensign magazine. Note
that they are not “false” images but “old” images).

Brigham warned, “The
time will come when this people will be led onto the very brink of hell by
their leaders, then the one mighty and strong will come to set the house in
order.” (Brigham Young, ‘Joseph Musser Journal’, Old Bowery, Provo, pg
79.)

Brigham Young said: “I
am more afraid that this people have so much confidence in their leaders that
they will not inquire for themselves of God whether they are led by him. I am
fearful they settle down in a state of blind self-security, trusting their
eternal destiny in the hands of their leaders with a reckless confidence that
in itself would thwart the purposes of God in their salvation. Let every man
and woman know by the whispering of the Spirit of God to themselves, whether
their leaders are walking in the path the Lord dictates or not.” (Journal
of Discourses 9:150)

Again he said “As you
have been told hundreds of times, how easy it would be for your leaders to lead
you to destruction, unless you actually know the mind and will of the Spirit
yourselves.” Journal of Discourses 4:368

“And others will he
pacify, and lull them away into security, that they will say: All is well in
Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well – 2Nephi 28:21

Brigham Young at Provo
Conference said shortly before he died, “Brethren, this Church will be led
onto the very brink of hell by the leaders of this people, then God will send
the one “Mighty and Strong” spoken of in the 85th. Section of the
Doctrine and Covenants.”  (Truth
Magazine Salt Lake City October 1940; Volume 6 No. 5 page 109)

One final observation,
concerning those whom the Lord will allow to be led astray, the apostle Paul
wrote in his second message to the Thessalonians, ch. 2:11-12

2:11 And for this
cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2:12
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness.

In other words, if you don’t
love the truth, the Lord himself will see that you are led astray.

He alluded to the same principles
in the Old Testament: I also will choose their delusions (Isaiah 66:4); the Book of Mormon:  Wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because
of the truth of God! For behold, he
that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall
fall. (2 NEPHI 28:28); They wear stiff necks and high heads; yea,
and because of pride, and wickedness, and abominations, and whoredoms, they
have all gone astray save it be a few, who are the humble followers of
Christ; nevertheless, they are led, that in many instances they do err
because they are taught by the precepts of men. (2Nephi 28:14)]; and the
Doctrine and Covenants: Behold, thus saith the Lord unto my people–you have
many things to do and to repent of; for behold, your sins have come up unto me,
and are not pardoned, because you seek to counsel in your own ways.15 And your
hearts are not satisfied. And ye obey not the truth, but have pleasure in
unrighteousness. (D&C 56:14-15); He that keepeth his commandments
receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all
things. Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of
truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be. All truth is independent
in that sphere in which God has placed it, to act for itself, as all
intelligence also; otherwise there is no existence. Behold, here is the agency
of man, and here is the condemnation of man; because that which was from
the beginning is plainly manifest unto them, and they receive not the light.
And every man whose spirit receiveth not the light is under condemnation.
(D&C 93:28-32)

I’m not a republican, but I will be voting for one this election, and pray to God he will get our immigration laws enforced. I’m sick of obama pandering to these people who have NO RIGHT to be in this country. The illegal aliens who don’t have our jobs, are using this country as a welfare country with their anchor babies, (illegal alien children). Why should illegal aliens be entitled to a DREAM Act? They are in this country ILLEGALLY no matter how they got here. It’s time to get these illegal aliens back to their own country where they belong. They DO NOT belong here!
