Federalist 58 by James Madison. 1. Under the proposed Constitution whose interests were represented by the U.S. Senate? Is it so today? If not, how might it be remedied & by what means? 2. How did the Constitution provide for updating representation in Congress? 3. Madison credits the U.S Constitution with assigning the greatest power, that of the “purse strings” to the U.S. House. In your opinion, how might the House assert that power to reduce the size & cost of government today? 4. Explain in your own words Madison’s warning against too many men serving in the House. How might his warning be applied today as calls abound for a more direct democracy & for scrapping the electoral college system? 5. Is democracy the form of government our Founders gave us or was it a republican form? Explain the difference.

Benedict Obama’s Invasion of America

Benedict Obama’s Invasion of America

BY SELWYN DUKE If millions of soldiers from south of the border were flooding our nation for the purposes of colonizing our land, we would easily recognize the threat. And if some amongst us were aiding and abetting this invasion — purposely lowering border security to facilitate it — we’d know what to call them. And we’d know how they [...]

Grab for Dictatorial Power

Grab for Dictatorial Power

BY PHYLISS SCHLAFLY The United States is "in the midst of a constitutional crisis." We are at "a constitutional tipping point." President Barack Obama has unilaterally overturned the constitutional framework of three branches that is the basis of our unique and successful system of self-government. That statement is not just partisan bickering [...]

Is the U.S. Being Colonized By Red China?

BY TOM DEWEESE For the past few decades the Communist regime of China has been driving toward world supremacy, both economically and militarily. The regime’s main target has been, and is, the United States of America. China’s plan to grab power has been clever and unprecedented, seeking victory without firing a shot, reducing its targets to [...]

A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing – J. Reuben Clark Jr.

Called Unto Liberty, 20th Century Sermons, J. Reuben Clark Jr. In the whole history of the human race, from Adam until now, Tyranny has never come to live with any people with a placard on his breast bearing his name. He always comes in deep disguise, sometimes proclaiming an endowment of freedom, sometimes promising help to the unfortunate and [...]

The New Blacklist

BY PATRICK J. BUCHANAN "There is a gay mafia," said Bill Maher, "if you cross them you do get whacked." Maintenance of a Free Society – Milton Friedman

Maintenance of a Free Society – Milton Friedman

FREE ENTERPRISE ZONE, FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES Milton Friedman, 1975 I want people to take thought about their condition and to recognize that the maintenance of a free society is a very difficult and complicated thing and it requires a self-denying ordinance of the most extreme kind. It requires a willingness to put up with temporary evils on the [...]

License Cleverly Posing as Liberty – Neal A. Maxwell

License Cleverly Posing as Liberty – Neal A. Maxwell

CALLED UNTO LIBERTY, 20TH CENTURY SERMONS Today, lust openly parades as love, license cleverly poses as liberty, and raucous sounds mockingly masquerade as music. Evil even calls itself good and often gets away with it! While I would not shrink the circumference of freedom, the size of that circle is not the sole measure of social [...]

Suing Americans under International Law — in American Courts

Suing Americans under International Law — in American Courts

BY SELWYN DUKE Imagine you go overseas and give a speech advocating a cause, only to come home and find you’re being sued for “crimes against humanity.” No, what you did wasn’t illegal under American law or under the laws of the nation in which you expressed your words. You’re being sued under international law. And here’s the [...]
